Go green initiative programs are designed to protect human health and reserve natural resources for future generations. The principle behind the Go Green initiative is to design a world where natural resources will be equitably available, and all children will be healthier.

Bhatia hospital promotes the Go Green Initiative program by taking few following measures:

Energy conservation by promoting solar energy consumption:

A solar panel is installed on the roof of the hospital for heating water which is needed for the day to day activities at the Hospital. This helps in conserving electric energy resources which are scarce, while using natural sources as much as possible.

Management of waste disposal:

The Biomedical wastes are strictly disposed by the statutory laws made by BMC for the Medical Waste Management. Biomedical waste is properly managed and disposed off to protect the environment, general public and health care workers.

Food waste is a growing area of concern with many costs to our community in terms of waste collection, disposal and greenhouse gases. Kitchen wastes are segregated at every step and is eliminated when passed on through the sink incinerators and then processed into in-house Biogas plant.

Indigent / Weaker Section Ward :

As per the High Court order, we have established an Indigent Patients Ward (totally free ward) and Weaker Section Ward (with 50% concession). Persons whose gross family income is upto Rs. 50,000 per annum are entitled for indigent ward and persons whose gross family income is upto Rs. 100,000 per annum are entitled for weaker section.

A team of dedicated staff has been appointed by the hospital, to process the applications for free and subsidized treatment to poor patients.

Senior Citizen (65 Yrs or Above) Discount :

As a part of our greater social responsibility, we are pleased to announce that we will be offering a Senior Citizen Discount of 25 % on hospital OPD and diagnostic services (15% on CT scans only) to all senior citizens (65 yrs or above). This is not applicable to private OPD.
